We have applied for EAD/AP on October 2020 and have completed the biometrics together. But only primary applicant got the approval one week after the biometric, derivative applicants EAD/AP application still says “Case Was Received and A Receipt notice was Emailed”
Anyone in the same boat? When will they process the derivative’s Application? 😑
Me and My wife just had our first Biometric appointment for I485 in Port Chester, NY today. Overall our experience was great and the whole process took around 15 minutes of time.
List of Documents we carried for our appointmentOriginal Passport Fingerprint Appointment Notice AIW Form (Filled manually) that comes with the Appointment Notice Wear your Masks - This is MANDATORY!
These are the Steps that the ASC officers take during your appointmentDocument Verification at the entrance (Keep your passport/EAD card (if renewing) & Original ASC Biometric notice ready) COVID-19 Questionnaire - Answer honestly to the questions Bio-Data Entry, The officer writes your receipt # to the Bio Form and make you wait. This is where they stamp the appointment notice to say the Fingerprints are taken. Bio Area - This is where the officer asks you to take your Masks and glasses (if you wear one) off and take your picture Fingerprints - First the left four, right four and each thumbs like Port of Entry. Fingerprints from Individual fingers - The office take your hand and take finger prints from each of 10 fingers fully. (Leave your hand to the officer to guide and don't push or press your hand as this may not register your finger prints properly. They ask you to Sign in a digital sign pad.
The Bio Area officer hand over the passport and stamped notice to your as receipt.
Hope this helps to prepare for your ASC Fingerprint appointment, Please share your experience here.

October 2020 filed I-485 received Medical RFE from local State of residence Field Office.
Note: Should have listened to YouTube lawyers in keeping this ready, but went with my employer's attorney suggestion to wait for the RFE. Hope I can send this sooner.
